Go to Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and select TypeByte. Then tap TypeByte in the list and enable Allow Full Access so the AI features work correctly.
No. TypeByte never stores, logs, or transmits the text you type. Rewrite requests go directly to the AI model and are not retained on our servers. Your usage stats stay on-device only. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
iOS requires Full Access for a keyboard extension to make network requests. TypeByte needs this to call the AI model when you request a rewrite or voice input. Without Full Access, the AI features will not work.
First, make sure you've added TypeByte in Settings and enabled Full Access. If the keyboard still doesn't appear, try removing it and re-adding it, then restart your device. If the issue persists, please use the bug report form below.
Tap the globe icon (🌐) on any keyboard to cycle between your installed keyboards. You can also hold the globe icon to pick a specific keyboard from the list.
